Anna Silk has taken to the Showcase Network YouTube channel this morning to announce that the fifth season will be the final season of the series when it airs later on the network and eventually on the Syfy channel. The show is getting a bit of a bump compared to the previous season in that it will get “supersized” to sixteen episodes that will be presented in two parts, which we’ve seen more and more with cable productions lately. No formal date for the premier has been announced yet but it’s expected in the fall of this year.
FUNimation recently extended it’s rights to the show through Blu-ray & DVD, DTO/DTR/EST, (and via digital carriers) PPV and VOD with the fifth season that’s now in production. Giant Ape Media has released the first four seasons on DVD and Blu-ray and now has a lot more options with the digital side of it through multiple windows.
Series concept: When we last saw the supernatural seductress Bo (Anna Silk: Being Erica; Billable Hours), she and her allies had been caught up in a fierce battle for the fate of the world. Her mysterious, long-absent father, turns his daughter into the Dark Queen in his ploy to escape from hell. Bo’s allies—both Fae and human—manage to fight back his army of undead revenants, but only at the great loss of one of their own.
