If there’s something that every publisher needs, it’s a character that can just go all out in creative ways. Marvel has a few of them, but the one that continues to do really well for them is Deadpool, who is gearing up for his first bi-annual release on September 17th, 2014. This is a standalone story that has him throwing down with a team of cybernetic, anthropomorphic animals. What more need be said?

The release brings back the Brute Force team from the 90’s that has largely and unfortunately been forgotten  in order to have a lot of fun with things. The release is an interesting one as it’s written by Paul Scheer of The League TV series with artwork by Nick Giovannetti.

Plot concept: Deadpool is going to come face-to-snout with the some of the toughest and most absurd enemies he’s ever faced! When the Merc With a Mouth is hired by WaterWorld to protect their theme park from environmental activists, he had no idea that meant a heavily armed team of armored-up talking animals! A mechanized kangaroo with a machine gun is just the beginning! Don’t miss it when Scheer & Giovannetti take the Merc With a Mouth for a spin when DEADPOOL BI-ANNUAL #1 hits comic shops and digital devices this September!
