What They Say:
Kikuoka has recruited Kirito to investigate GGO, and so he logs in. To lure Death Gun into targeting him, he hopes to enter Bullet of Bullets (BoB), a tournament to decide the most powerful gunman in GGO. But as a first-timer, he doesn’t know his way around this game, and soon loses his way, when he catches sight of Sinon and approaches her.

The Review:Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
Kirito finally enters the world of GGO! His goal is to search out Death Gun and to see if he’s merely a rumor if he’s actually real, and to do that Kirito wants to get his name out there so everyone know’s who it is – and what better way than the massive tournament, the Bullet of Bullets?

However, he has a few problems. One – his avatar looks very much like a girl, and everyone confuses him with one including Sinon, whom he bumps into. The second problem he has Sinon is able to help with, and that’s knowing nothing about GGO. We get a refresher course on the difference between energy guns and physical guns, and while shopping, Kirito puts on an awesome display of reflexes and agility by winning a betting game, and more than quadrupling his money. It’s a game that Sinon has never seen anyone win, and the crowd present is impressed as well.

Kirito discovers that there are swords in the game – energy weapons similar to the Lightsabre from ‘Star Wars’ – and feels right at home with one in his hands. His aptitutde with guns is lacking, however, despite his skills that have been transported over from SAO and ALO. With very little time left before registration and the beginning of the BoB, Kirito and Sinon take a motorcycle and zoom towards the registration offices!

In Summary:
We’re finally starting to get into the meat of the second season of SAO. Kirito is finally in the game and is on his way towards not only his search for Death Gun, but also fighting in the world of GGO. He’s also met Sinon as well, so all the characters are in place to move the plot forward. The humor over everyone confusing Kirito for a girl (including Sinon) is not really something they try to make slap-stick hilarious, but the truth will eventually come out, and that could impact his relationship with Sinon. The fact that Kirito is able to secure a sword, his favored weapon, means that there are more than likely some awesome action sequences in the next few episodes.

Even though Kirito finally gets introduced to GGo in this episode, it only advances the plot forward marginally, so not a ton happens. But with the BoB coming up, there’s a lot of potential on the horizon. Not bad for episode four.
