After the recent announcement that Working!!, known as Wagnaria!! in its US release, was bringing its manga to a close this year, that left a lot of fans feeling disappointed since it cuts down the chances of a third season of the anime significantly. So it was definitely a very welcome surprise to learn that at an event over the weekend, a third season has been given the green light to be produced. The announcement didn’t include any details of what will be involved in terms of format, length, production or cast, but it’s expected to be a proper third season with the cast returning and likely the main staff as well.
The anime adaptation has been released in North America by NIS America, but the manga itself has not seen release in this country.
Plot concept: Set in a family restaurant in Hokkaido, the northern prefecture of Japan, 16-year-old high school student Souta Takanashi works part-time along with his strange co-workers: Popura Taneshima, a high school girl who’s a year older than Souta, yet easily mistaken for an elementary/middle schooler, and Kyoko Shirafuji, the 28-year old store manager who doesn’t bother to do any work at all.
