While superheroes continue to take up most of the oxygen out there in terms of big marketing and pushes, there are a lot of non-superhero comics getting adapted as well and moving into various stages of development. The latest one to get the nod is an interesting title from BOOM! Studios with The Foundation. The 2008 series comes from Kody Chamberlain which ran for four issues. The series has been optioned by 20th Century Fox with Even Daughtery set to adapt. Daughtery’s recent works include the new TMNT film, Snow White and the Huntsman and Divergent.

Plot concept: History shows that in the 1500s, Nostradamus’ three volumes of prophecies were best-sellers, making him a rich man. But what the world doesn’t know is that he used his vast treasure-trove of riches to create a foundation to prevent his most catastrophic prophesies from occurring! This secret team still functions today, using Nostradamus’ published and unpublished tomes to predict threats to worldwide security! In the vein of The X-Files, but with a 24-like spin!
