Color us a little disappointed but Fox has seen fit to move Kingsman: The Secret Service from its original October 24th, 2015 release date to February 13th, 2015 to do some counter programming to all the Valentine’s Day releases out there – including Fifty Shades of Grey. Word is that additional filming is underway to tweak things and that’s pushing things back a bit for the film.
Adapting the comic of the same name that comes from Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, the feature is aimed at bringing back some of the 60′s style and sensibilities to spies and secret agencies that operate with humor and a certain kind of precision.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the film stars Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Michael Caine, Samuel L. Jackson, Sofia Boutella, Jack Davenport and an array of celebrity cameos including Mark Hamill, Elton John, Adele, Lady Gaga and David Beckham.
Plot concept: The world’s greatest secret agent is on the most exciting case of his career. But will the end of the world as know it take a back seat to training his street-punk nephew to be the next James Bond? meanwhile, what’s the secret link between a series of kidnapped sci-fi stars, the murder of an entire town, and a dark secret from inside Mount Everest?
