At the Guardians of the Galaxy red carpet premiere last night, fans got a chance to see showrunner Steven S. DeKnight there and that had the livestream from Marvel asking the man working on Daredevil for the company and Netflix about the show. Not surprisingly, he wasn’t able to say anything of note about the production itself, though we did get it revealed once again and in clear terms that the show is very much going for a 70’s kind of sense of design with the atmosphere working that angle. While he does say the 70’s clearly, the show is taking place in the present and is connected to everything else in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But they’re looking at a particular style for the show that’s evocative of some of the most well known of Daredevil stories written about Hell’s Kitchen over the years.
