Anime Sols has been quiet for a bit as they work on the number of sets they do have to get shipped out to fans, but now they’ve surfaced once more with a trio of new crowdfunding projects for people to get behind. The surprising one this time around is that a new simulcast series is in the offering with Kindaichi Returns included for the first 14 episodes with a reasonably low price of $26,000 to make it happen. Hopefully those watching the streams on Crunchyroll will get wind of it and support it if they want to own this new series. Going in the complete opposite direction are the next two pieces with Dororo and The Warrior Gordian, both of which are being set for streaming only crowdfunding projects at the moment, which makes sense considering they come from 1969 and 1979 respectively. The price points are far lower at just $2,700, but it’s hard to see people paying to get streaming out there for projects when no ownership is in the offing. We’ve seen comments that indicate if the projects do well for streaming they’ll see if they can get DVD release projects set up as well.
Kindaichi Returns Set 1

Plot concept: Hajime Kindaichi returns with his remarkable deductive skills to solve more cases.
Dororo Set 1
– $2700 goal for streaming of eps 1-13
Plot concept: Hyakkimaru is a young man who lacks 48 body parts because they were taken from him by demons before birth, as payment by his father, Kagemitsu Daigo, to obtain his wish to take over the country. When the baby boy was born he was missing 48 parts of his body, and thus was abandoned—thrown into a river. Hyakkimaru has grown up and now has obtained fake body parts so he can eliminate the 48 demons that were made from his body, and to retrieve his missing parts. Along for the adventure is the boy thief, Dororo, with whom he becomes friends.
Gordian, The Warrior Set 1
– $2700 goal for streaming of eps 1-13
Plot concept: The Earth had become a wasteland of deserts as the survivors work to rebuild communities. Daigo Otaki is a young orphan raised by his uncle. Becoming an adult, Daigo discovers that Victor City was in fact planned by his father who was a genius scientist. Daigo’s sister Saori had been managing it. She plead Daigo to take on the inheritance that Daigo’s father left him, a super robot system known as Gordian. Daigo would join the Mechacon mechanic combat 18th regiment unit, an organization of law enforcers that defend Victor City against attacks from the Madokuta organization.
Interesting that the Dororo streaming which nobody will pledge for to share it streaming is 10% to its goal in the first day. Kindaichi returns has more four times the pledges, but with a target nearly 10x higher is less than 5% to its goal in the first day.
