Kevin Feige Talks ‘Daredevil’ Netflix Series

2 min read

Daredevil KingpinWhen Marvel Studios / TV gets their Daredevil series off the ground next year on Netflix, it’s probably a good idea to temper your expectations now in a way. While it’s been confirmed that the various series will be taking place within the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe, the show is being designed to stand on its own and won’t have guest spots or appearances by more well known characters.

“They’re being very, very smart about that. And approaching those shows the way we approach movies, which is focus on what you’re working on first,” says the Marvel Studios President, “And make it as great as you can be at beginning, middle and end. And then look at if they’re places it makes sense for some interweaving of continuity.”

Feige then concluded, “But right now their goal, and they’re in production on the Daredevil series, is to make the best incarnation of Daredevil that has ever existed.”

Plot concept: The story follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
