Love Live! School Idol Project Season 2 | Episode 12love-live-s2-episode-12

Hitsugi Amachi: When it came to the Love Live!, I heard the new song and costumes, thought that was nice and all, but I felt they had missed an opportunity to do a callback that would be very appropriate, especially considering how familiar that stage set was. So when the post-credits encore ran and did what I thought needed doing, bringing back the first season’s OP as that was at the Love Live!, they nailed this episode. I do appreciate it when production staffs show an awareness of what they’ve done before, even in previous seasons separated in time, and tie things together. This was the perfect ribbon tied into a bow for the show. The final episode can now be our chance to wave ยต’s goodbye.

This season got off to a slow start for me, but it has picked up and now reached a fitting climax. Bravo.

_PS_: That was the perfect ending. I held it together until they did Bokura wa Ima no Naka de. I’m not going to make it through the last episode.

TBDave: I loved the way this episode (finally realizing their dream) tied into the first season with the original OP and Honaka remembering their first performance.

This season has been great. The first season mostly seemed to focus on the 3 main characters. But this season provided a lot of insight into the other characters. And that’s given these final episodes some real emotional impact. You understand how much the group means to every one of them, and that makes it hard to see it all end.

I’m hoping that after the last two episode cryfests, they’ll find a way to get a happy ending. It would be nice if they jumped forward two years and the girls have all finished school and Muse has gone pro.

GingaDaiuchuu: Oh right, there’s still one more. Well that was quite the penultimate episode, finally bringing us to the climax that both seasons have been leading up to, and appropriately using the first OP as their final encore performance. Now we just have one more epilogue episode to see the aftermath of the performances, probably news that they blew away the competition, and a graduation that, considering how emotional and tearful all the episodes leading up to it have been, should leave a new ocean in its wake.

Nork22: To be honest, I enjoyed their last moments together more than the perfomance on stage. The new song was OK but I probably need a few more listens to warm up to it. The encore though was rather magic.

Well one more episode till the end of the series. Will be getting the tissues ready!
