The upcoming OAD release for the twelfth volume of Haro Aso’s manga series Alice in Borderland has certainly garnered some interest as tidbits came out, including a character teaser promo. While we expected to have the one bundled release, it’s now being revealed through Weekly Shonen Sunday that there will be three episodes for it that will be spread out across volumes twelve through fourteen. The first OVA is set to be bundled with the twelfth volume of the series when it lands on October 17th, 2014 with animation by Silver Link and Connect.

The OVAs will star Yoshimasa Hosoya as Ryohai Arisu, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Daikichi Karube, Tsubasa Yonaga as Chota Segawa and Maaya Sakamoto as Saori Shibuki.

Plot concept: Alice Ryouhei will leave high school soon, but he’s trying to avoid thinking about his future. Late one night, when he’s hanging out with his tough friend Karube and his silly, girl-crazy friend Chota, they see fireworks. After one blindingly bright explosion, they find themselves waking up in a different world. In this ‘Borderland,’ people are forced to either participate in potentially deadly games or simply die. Will Chota, Karube, and Ryouhei be able to survive this dangerous new world, and is there a way they can get back to their original lives?
