With the anime adaptation of the light novel series Shonen Hollywood set to premiere on July 5th, 2014 in Japan, distributor King Records has laid down the home video release schedule for the series. The show is planned for thirteen episodes spread across six releases that begins on September 10th, 2014 where the sixth volume is priced higher as it has three episodes on it. The first five volumes are priced at 6,000 yen each for both DVD and Blu-ray while the sixth volume is priced at 8,000 yen for each format. Each release comes with some basic on-disc extras that look like clean opening and closing sequences but the first press/limited edition aspect of it gets a bonus CD included with each volume as well. The releases will run through February 4th, 2015.

The series is part of a multimedia project that involves the novel, the anime adaptation and an idol project as well. The series is set to take place after the novel. The production brings Toshimasa Kuroyoanagi to directed based on scripts by original creator Ikuyo Hashiguchi and character designs by Kei Tsuchiya. With Starchild behind the project, we get studio Zexcs providing the animation for it.

Plot concept: An imaginary theater in Harajuku called “Hollywood Tokyo” trains boys as idols called “Shounen Hollywood.” It is a story of those idols growing up.
