Gundam-san HeaderBased on the four panel manga by Hideko Oowada that ran between 2005 and 2011 for a total of eleven volumes, Gundam-san is now set for a July 6th, 2014 debut in Japan. The show, which will run with five minute shorts, brings in a pretty good cast of characters to play with and builds on the overall Gundam brand with the number of high profile projects out there this year and next year. it’s being directed by Mankyu, who is also doing the scripts, while Sao Tamado is handling the character designs with it all being done at Sunrise, which is no surprise. Check out the official site for more character images here.

The cast includes Katsuyuki Konishi as Char-san, Megumi Han as Lalah-san, Tsubasa Yonaga as Amuro-san, Kaori Nazuka as Sayla-san, Ryotaro Okiayu as Bright-san, Yoshimitsu Shimoyama as Kai-san, Takashi Matsuyama as Haro Otoko, Ryou Hirohashi as Kycilia-tan, Rikako Yamaguchi as Frau-san, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Garma-san, Keiko Han as Kotowaza Kaisetsu (Proverb Commentary) and Tohru Furuya as Narrator. It’s worth noting that Megumi Han is Keiko Han’s daughter, who played Lalah in the original series.
