As we get closer to the broadcast and simulcast debuts of a lot of the summer anime series, some Japanese distributors slide the information out there for the home video releases early. The latest comes from VAP as they’ve got the information out there for the summer series Jinsei. The show is getting a seven volume release for its thirteen episode run with the first volume of each format just having one episode while the remainder have two each, hence the pricing design. The Blu-ray’s will be 2,400 yen for the first and 5,800 for the remainder while the DVDs will be priced at 2,000 for the first and 4,800 yen for the remainder. The release schedule will begin on September 3rd, 2014 and end on March 25th, 2015.

The first volume details show that the release will come with a CD bonus and a box to hold the whole series. On disc extras aren’t available yet but the CD will have the ending theme and likely some instrumental tracks/versions.

The series looks to have a pretty solid staff to it as it’s going to be directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi bsaed on story setting by Tsuyoshi Tamai and Keiichiro Ouchi. Character designs are being done by Tomoyuki Shitaya and the series is being produced at animation studio feel, which has worked on some interesting shows as of late including Outbreak Company.

Plot concept: The story centers around Yūki Akamatsu, a boy who joins the staff of his school’s second newspaper. The editor-in-chief Ayaka Nikaidō immediately assigns him to the life (jinsei) advice column. Three girls — the science representative Rino Endō, the liberal arts representative Fumi Kujō, and the physical education representative Ikumi Suzuki — answer requests from students about whatever is troubling them.
