Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san Episode 10
It’s time for swim class!

What They Say:
The series follows two high school girls; Yachiyo Inugami, a dog-like girl who loves cats, and Suzu Nekoyama, a cat-like girl who loves dogs, and the strange relationship their respective habits form.

While the show has done a good bit of school based comedy, it’s avoided a lot of the usual situations. But now we’ve got the girls at the school pool as part of their curriculum and that just leads to a lot of simple comedy – and mild fanservice. That has some of the usual bits playing here as we see Yachiyo imagining writing on Suzu’s uniform in case she forgot her name since that would give her some hands on time with her. Naturally, not everyone gets into the pool as there’s always someone with an issue, but there’s just some basic cuteness about it and the gags, especially since Suzu just doesn’t like the water at all, reinforcing her cat-ness.Which makes having a dog-friend like Yachiyo in her life all the more difficult.

In Summary:
The series doesn’t always go for big laughs but it can still produce some good ones. The pool episode could have been all manner of wrong, but they handled it well and had fun with it while playing up the cat/dog side of it in a cute enough way. I wish it had a bit more Aki in it just so she would dunk one or two of them for the way they act, but mostly it was fun seeing how they all behave outside of the classroom setting when they feel a little more free and fun.
