Originally broadcast during the Winter 2014 season with FUNimation handling the North American side while Crunchyroll did other areas, Kadokawa/Media Factory set down the release plans for No-Rin on DVD and Blu-ray awhile ago. And as the volumes keep coming out, a new home video commercial has landed showing off the upcoming release. The twelve episode series will be getting a six volume release that began on April 9th, 2014. The Blu-ray releases are priced at 7140 yen each while the DVDs are set at 6090 yen each. The show does have a lot of material being offered with it when it comes to the Blu-ray listings out there according to CD Japan:
Each of the releases will come with a short novel for a total of six as well as a special CD that’s not listed as to what it will be yet. Each release will come with some on-disc extras as well such as the TV specials, clean opening and closing, promotional songs and teaser spots.
Plot Concept: When the national idol Kusakabe Yuka suddenly retired from the entertainment business, it shocked the world and it devastated teenager Hata Kosaku. Kosaku was Yuka’s biggest fan and her departure left him depressed. His classmates at the Tamo Agriculture School finally are able to get him to leave his room and attend his class, but to everyone’s amazement, Kusakabe Yuka (her stage name) comes into the class under the name Kinoshita Ringo as a transfer student. Kosaku realizes he has the once in a lifetime opportunity to get to personally know his dream girl and, together with his group of friends, try to find out why she is here and become closer than just classmates.
