With the TV spots moving into full swing from Marvel for Guardians of the Galaxy, the third installment has dropped and unlike how it’s usually done, this one clocks in at a minute. Due to it being full of entirely new characters, there’s a lot more groundwork to do to introduce it to viewers and make it accessible. That means a slightly longer spot like this clues you in to the archetypes and runs from there as you know who they are. There’s also more tagging of the actors and obviously some new footage for the diehards who are scraping everything they can to get one more new taste.
Set for release on August 1st, 2014 as directed by James Gunn, the feature brings together Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, Dave Batista, Vin Diesel, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Gregg Henry. It premieres on August 1st, 2014.
