As we get closer to the end of the second season of Date-A-Live II, that means we’re getting closer to the home video release. And that has the folks at Kadokawa doing their best to tease you into buying them based on the extras that exist such as the inclusion of CDs and more. The series is getting a five volume release where there’s a couple of exclusives as well depending on where you buy it. The series is slated for a June 27th, 2014 debut on DVD and Blu-ray with the breakdown below:
- Vol.1 BD LE (Amz JP exclusive also available): 8925yen; Vol.2 – Vol.5 BD LEs: 7980yen each
- Vol.1 DVD LE: 7875yen
- Vol.2 – Vol.5 DVD LEs: 6930yen each

The home video release will be the directors cut of the show with no edits to it and the first volume will be coming with a box. The directors cut adds about four minutes worth of footage to it with unaired scenes.
The series comes from the light novels of the same name by Koushi Tachibana and was animated by AIC Plus+ under director Keitaro Motonaga. FUNimation previously simulcast the first season of the series and did a late pickup of the first season for home video release.

I really hope the release is fast on the North America end for Date A Live II. I am currently watching it airs and loving it. Just want to get my hands on it.
