The marketing for Sin City 2 recently brought us five new posters based on some of the bigger characters in the film, which is due out on August 22nd, 2014. But the release was missing one of the characters that has always drawn attention in movies like this as Eva Green was nowhere to be seen. Apparently the poster didn’t fly well with those that have to approve such things for distribution to theaters and it got nixed. Unsurprisingly, when you see it below, you’ll know why.
Directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez based on the graphic novels of the same name, the film stars Joshn Brolin, Eva Green and more such as Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Stacy Keach, and Julia Garner.
Plot concept: Sin City: A Dame to Kill For weaves together two of Frank Miller’s classic stories with new tales in which the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more repulsive inhabitants. In Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film Frank Miller’s Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face.
