Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san Episode 3
Nothing like getting a cat drunk on catnip.

What They Say:
The series follows two high school girls; Yachiyo Inugami, a dog-like girl who loves cats, and Suzu Nekoyama, a cat-like girl who loves dogs, and the strange relationship their respective habits form.

Like any show, the interactions between the characters is what sells it and it’s definitely fun watching how they all express themselves. Yachiyo is set to have some real fun with Suzu by swapping out her drink with something catnip laced so that she can get her drunk and enjoy the experience of Suzu in that form. The mental visualization of it is hilarious in its weirdness. With Aki watching on in order to sort of protect Suzu, there’s some really fun back and forth between all three which is definitely fun to watch. But all the more so when Suzu does end up getting drunk in some form and her personality turns into a sexy dominant that puts Yachiyo in her place, much to the delight of both of them. It’s over the top and utterly hilarious to see play out, making me like all of them a whole lot more.

In Summary:
While I’ve been a little on the fence with this show in some ways, this episode goes all out with the fun and just runs with it in a way that makes me laugh quite a lot more than I should. What Yachiyo is doing is obviously wrong on so many levels, but the comedy results here are priceless as it’s played up in just the right way to show us more of both of the characters personalities in and what may be lurking more under the surface for each.
