Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time| Episode 15 | TFP Review

Tonari no Seki-kun Episode 15

EmperorBrandon: This was veeery interesting. Yokoi is out sick, and now we see Gotou actually noticing Seki-kun’s antics and reacting to them. She’s so set in her mind about Yokoi and Seki-kun being a romantic couple that she ends up interpreting those antics with that in mind, quite differently from how Yokoi does. Quite amusing to see. I love how Gotou plays with her twin braids rather furiously while reacting to him. Between this and the pool episode, I hope quirky moments with Gotou’s braids continues to be a recurring joke with her appearances.

bctaris: At one point, she pulls herself back up with one of them. Ha, clever episode, switching perspectives to Gotou again. The spirit of Yokoi that Seki-kun imagines is a wonderful touch–especially then showing her cursing him as usual while sick in bed.

Nork22: I don’t know how Gotou can have a different delusion to what Yokoi usually does. All in all it makes for some interesting romance drama, even though it’s all fake.

stardf29: This was hilarious, seeing Gotou react to Seki’s antics in her own, unique way, including all of her braid antics.

And it’s interesting to see that Seki-kun is not completely unaffected by Yokoi’s disapproval of his antics. Though that might be more because he got freaked out thinking Yokoi’s spirit had come to haunt him and all…

GingaDaiuchuu: More Goto-san delusions, this time taking Yokoi out of the picture for the first time and letting Goto-san actually seeing what Seki-kun does. Of course, she still embellishes upon all of this as much as ever, always to progressively higher comical extremes. In some ways there is some development between these very basic characters, and since it’s all used to best serve these short gags, it works well.
