While some movies should never be remade for a variety of reasons, others are a place where you can find a lot of interesting material to rework for today’s social and political issues and really make something of it, especially when the previous version strayed from the source novel material like Logan’s Run. Warner Bros. has been attempting to get a reboot going for a couple of decades now to no success, though they did push a little closer back in 2013 when they had Ken Levine step in to write a new screenplay which could potentially get somewhere. But a couple of directors before that, they had Joseph Kosinski signed on to direct a low budget version of it and that had him bringing in conceptual illustrator Ed Natividad to do some ideas for it before the pair moved on to Oblivion together after Kosinski went on to TRON: Legacy. Now a few of those pieces have surfaced online, which shows some interesting ideas as to how it could have looked.

Original concept: A policeman seeks to escape the confines of a hedonistic and domed society in this futuristic thriller where people who reach 30 are exterminated.
