Neon Alley has brought its next show to the Hulu service today with the debut of Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. The thirteen episode series was originally simulcast by Crunchyroll and then licensed for home video release by Viz Media last year. Neon Alley is bringing out their digital distribution of the show now and will be highlighting it later when the dub is completed ahead of the physical media release. For this run on Hulu, Hulu Plus can watch this show in HD on their TV, mobile and computer.

Plot concept: In the distant future, Ledo, a young soldier from space wakes up and finds himself marooned on an ocean planet. Growing up in space, and knowing nothing but battle, he is a stranger in a strange land, full of odd customs and a foreign language, but he’s not alone. Starting a new journey on this verdurous planet, Ledo must find a way to survive and reconcile that fact that he may never be able to return home!
