‘Tokyo Ghoul’ Anime Expands Cast

Set to debut this summer, we got our first look at the animation for Tokyo Ghoul a few weeks ago and now a little more has come down the road. The latest update to the series is that Mamoru Miyano has joined the cast as Shu Tsukiyama. along with Takayuki Sugo, Sumire Morohoshi and Katsuyuki Konishi. The original work had its tenth volume from Sui Ishida released recently that announced adaptation. The series will star Natsuki Hanae as Ken Kaneki, Sora Amamiya as Toka Kirishima and Hanazawa Kanaas as Rize Kamishiro. Originally starting serialization in Young Jump back in September 2011, the series has done well for a first-time creator who has no other published works to his name in the field.

Plot concept: In Japan, strange creatures that eat humans are around and they’re called “Ghoul”. A university student, Kaneki Ken, is riding a normal life and has fallen in love with a girl. But, after their first date it turns out that she’s a Ghoul. Being seriously traumatized, he got saved as the Ghoul accidentally died.

What happens when the doctors implant some of her organs to him, in order for him to survive?
