Cobie Smulders Sets New ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Appearance

With word that Samuel L. Jackson will be in the season finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. when that debuts on May 13th, 2014, there’s been some curiosity if we’d get another visit from Maria Hill this season as played by Cobie Smulders. She and Fury are largely tied together in a lot of ways, though she had only a small role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and there’s a lot of potential for the character considering the fallout from that film. Particularly in a TV role if she opts to join the series as a regular in the second season since she finished with How I Met Your Mother and hasn’t decided publicly what her next move will be. Smulders will be reprising her role as Maria Hill this season one more time though with a planned April 29th, 2014 episode, which hasn’t had any information available yet about it beyond the title of “Nothing Personal.”
