The December 2013 special that adapted the Noroi-ya Shimai manga with Majokko Shimai no Yoyo to Nene has now had a home video released slotted. Originally broadcast on December 28th with animation by ufotable, the special directed by Takayuki Hirao will be getting a pretty solid release when it lands on June 25th, 2014. The release will be coming in three flavors:

  • BD LE: 9800yen + tax
  • BD Reg: 8000yen + tax
  • DVD: 6000yen + tax

Details are still a bit light and not cover art is available yet, but with the limited edition it will come with a trailer, TV spot, announcement and a video awards piece as well as a full soundtrack CD. The regular edition has all the same but without the soundtrack.

Plot concept: It is a story about a pair of sisters who work as “noroiya” (cursers) using magic in a fantasy world. One day a big tree suddenly appears in a forest, and tall buildings that look like they are from our world can be seen entangled in it. The two sisters go there to investigate and get ported to our world. They then encounter two children who are startled by the sisters’ sudden appearance and rush back home but at home they see their parents turned into monsters…
