FUNimation is set to release the second half of Aquarion EVOL on DVD/BD combo pack on May 27th, 2014 and they’ve got a new dub trailer out for the show. It works a good bit of action, humor and seriousness to it all while letting a wide range of the characters get a line in here and there. The series is set to have episodes fourteen through twenty-six and will feature a good selection of extras such as more actor commentaries, the promotional videos, Japanese commercials and the clean versions of the opening and closing sequences.
The series is being directed by Christopher Bevins with Kenneth Thompson serving as ADR engineer. It stars Christopher Bevins, Brina Palencia, Justin Cook, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Alexis Tipton, Josh Grelle, Jason Liebrecht, Caitlin Glass, Taliesin Jaffe, Brandon Potter, Mike McFarland, Ian Sinclair, Tia Ballard, Monica Rial, J. Michael Tatum, Todd Haberkorn, Luci Christian, Carrie Savage and Eric Vale.
Plot concept: The intergalactic hijinks continue as beings from a womanless planet target the girls of the newly coed Neo-DEAVA academy. Meanwhile, a mysterious villain’s plot slowly comes to light, Amata’s past is revealed, and Mikono finds herself in the middle of a really awkward threesome. The hormone-fueled pilots will have to survive unusual training methods and swimsuit-filled secret missions in order to grow strong enough to kick some otherworldly tail, but as the boys and girls get closer to each other, they discover that destiny might not be on their side. Victory could require the legendary mecha Aquarion’s ultimate form—even if summoning it means breaking an intimate taboo. From the studio behind Fairy Tail and Macross comes an epic climax 12,000 years in the making.
