Ben McKenzie has some big shoes to fill with the portrayals over the years of James Gordon, but luckily with the Gotham series starting at the time in his career where he’s a much younger man and not quite as weary, he has time to grow into it. Played by Ben McKenzie, the first official image from Warner Bros. has been released for the actor for the show, which got a straight to series order at Fox for the fall. Playing in its own realm and not connected to other properties, we get to see some of the origins of the villains and other characters that populates the Batman universe before there was a Batman, which has the potential for a lot of interesting stories with where it can go, especially in showing the corruption and decay of Gotham as more of these elements make their presence known and we see Gordon trying to do the right thing amid it all.
