Sakura Trick Episode 11
EmperorBrandon: Haha, Sumisumi-kaichou. Kaede sure loves to tease, and I’m always amused by it. I like to find a bit more about the student council here, though Rina is graduating and we still have barely gotten to know her. Sumi is apparently into boob-grabbing too (even pervier with her old-timey way of speaking). Yuu can’t help but follow up when it’s done to Haruka.
Funny how I thought this time when they kissed, “Will they ever be caught?” But then they apparently did. Interesting how Mitsuki reacts. She realizes later how she really feels thinking about Haruka, and what a big hypocrite she was being such a stickler. Do feel a little sorry for Mitsuki, as there’s not much chance for her as close as Yuu and Haruka have gotten. Curious to see how things go with her next episode.
It was cool seeing Yuzu dance, though no one was paying attention due to the Haruka-Yuu intrigue. Poor Yuzu… at least she ended up being happy to find someone, Shizuku, caught it.
Library-chan: I wonder when this became Mitsuki Trick instead of Sakura Trick. Anyway, Haruka and Yuu have been found out, but then Mitsuki realizes that she’s in love with Haruka–for a kaichou, Mitsuki really is a bit stupid. She’s 17-18 years old and doesn’t realize that she’s in love with someone? I hope she realizes that she’s a hypocrite for telling Haruka/Yuu that girl/girl relations is bad in the next ep and apologizes to them. Of course, it’s impossible and a crime against nature not to love Haruka.
So, now, we’re at the last episode. Hopefully we’ll get some Kaede/Yuzu progression, or else they’re doomed to be the tsukkomi/boke pair.
Buckeye: Pretty good episode here considering I have been losing my interest with this show. I was waiting to see Sumi emerge and here she is with a colorful personality. And then there was Yuzu putting on the moves there. One more episode to go, and it will ring in the new school year with Mitsuki graduating, but not before falling for Haruka herself. I’m hoping it will be something.
Momoka Kibi: You know I have to wonder how much authority older siblings even have? Does Mitsuki have no authority over Yuu other than “threatening to tell the parents maybe”? Is she allowed some authority, but on a limited basis. Or is this like student councils in anime where she more power than she should have?
In any case, I’ve liked Mitsuki’s character so far, but now that she’s been given the role of err antagonist, the real challenge is ahead. Many characters in her position make choices that result in the character becoming unlikeable. Hopefully Mitsuki can avoid those traps.
I was about to say Kaede is the best character still, but Sumi is proving that idea wrong to me. Why couldn’t we get Sumi focus earlier?
In any case, I think Kaede does want to go further with Yuzu. However Yuzu is probably the “doesn’t get it” type. I’m thinking back to the pool episode. Or maybe they’re the long term couple that doesn’t start making out until later. Who knows?
EmperorBrandon: That’s pretty much how I see them too. That pool episode scene, and her wanting to ride with Yuzu back in the episode where she got her license. They’re the unrequited pair, which is a bit sad for Kaede. Do want her to get somewhere with Yuzu at some point.
