Crunchyroll Adds ‘The Heroic Legend of Arslan’ Manga Simulpub Series

Heroic Legend of ArslanWith multiple animated and manga adaptations of the ongoing novel series by Yoshiki Tanaka, Hiromu Arakawa’s adaptation of The Heroic Legend of Arslan is now getting a simulpub release on Crunchyroll.  The project has been serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since July 2013 for Kodansha and Crunchyroll now has the first nine chapters up with the tenth ready for publication on Tuesday, april 8th, at 7pm ET. The series will be available to All-Access and Manga members worldwide except for the following countries: Algeria, Lebanon, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Morocco, Switzerland, and Japan.

The previous anime adaptations in the form of two films were released during the 1990’s by Central Park Media in North America.

Plot concept: Someday, a boy will become a man, then in time, the man will become a king. Who is the true hero?! An unprecedented story of the struggle to succeed the throne has begun. Hiromu Arakawa, the creator of “Fullmetal Alchemist” illustrates the great historical fantasy novel in a never before seen style!
