Get ready to feel your wallets shudder, Saint Seiya fans, but realizing that it could be a whole lot worse when you think about it. Bandai Visual Japan has set the release dates for two Saint Seiya box sets on Blu-ray that will bring the 114 episode series to home video in high definition finally. The series will see its first set released on June 20th, 2014 while the second will follow a few months later with a mild breather on September 24th, 2014. Both releases are priced at 36,750 yen, which is a lot, but considering it’s 55 episodes or so per set, is a bit more manageable to swallow. The sets are listed at eight discs for each release.

No extras are solicited for the release yet, either through pack-ins or on-disc.

Plot concept: Ages ago, the goddess Athena was served by fighters called Saints who channeled the power of the Cosmos within them. Now a youth named Seiya has trained to become a Saint himself by earning the mystical Cloth of Pegasus. He is joined by other Saints with Cloths of their own to fight for Athena.
