It’s been pretty quiet since we learned back in January that Kyoto Animation signed on to another light novel adaptation by tackling with Shoji Gatoh’s series Amagai Brilliant Park. There was definitely interest in it since the third book was being released at the time and Shoji Gatoh’s works have been tackled by Kyoto Animation before with Full Metal Panic? Fumoffo and Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid. Now things are starting to come to light a little more about it as Yasuhiro Takemoto has signed on to direct the series, which does not have a premiere season yet. This marks a pretty good return in a way since he previously directed those two Full Metal Panic series and recently worked on shows like Hyouka for Kyoto Animation.
Plot concept: The story centers around a high school student Seiya Kanie. On a Sunday, a mysterious transfer student who carries a musket gun Isuzu Sento takes him to an old and deserted amusement park Amagi Brilliant Park in Amagi-city, which is located in the western part of Tokyo. He is told that if the park can’t attract 100,000 visitors in the next two weeks, it will be closed immediately. For some reason, Seiya has to save the park as an acting manager.

It was a cute anime, but this will be its only season in all likelihood, didn’t have enough violence or T&A, sadly few people watch that type anime no matter how good it is.
