While no North American release has been announced as of yet, another region outside of Japan has gotten the nod to release the Space Pirate Captain Harlock CGI movie on Blu-ray and DVD. The latest edition comes from VII Pillars entertainment in Hong Kong, which means that the release will get English subtitles. It’s set to contain only the original Japanese language track but will feature both English and Traditional Chinese subtitles for its March 7th, 2014 release. The title is coming in a couple of editions but both Blu-ray editions will contain the 2D and 3D together:
– DVD: HMV HK / YesAsia
– Blu-ray (2D + 3D): HMV HK / YesAsia
– Blu-ray Deluxe Edition (2D + 3D): HMV HK / YesAsia
Plot concept: Captain Harlock rebelled against the Allied Forces and has been plundering space ships for one hundred years. Why did he rebelled? How does he survive for one hundred years? With awe and fear to the legendary captain, the Allied Forces issues an order to assassinate Harlock.
