Some titles seem to manage revivals pretty well and another older series is about to try and do that with Eat-Man set to resurface. The series comes from the original creator, Akihito Yoshitomi, which had a solid run back in 1996 to 2003 as well as getting an anime adaptation. Viz Media brought the manga over to North America while Bandai Entertainment brought it out in subtitled-only form. The new incarnation is set to begin on May 26th in Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine with the title of the series to be announced in next months issue. Fans of the original work – or those that never read it – will get to experience the original as well as it will be released again one chapter per week on Nico Nico through Wednesday Sirius. A complete new compilation of the ten volumes is also in the works with doubles sized compilations arriving monthly starting in May for five months.

Plot concept: Bolt Crank travels the world as the World’s Greatest Mercenary. He got that moniker due to his skills, as well as his ability to eat anything, and then reproduce it in his right hand. During his adventures he meets new friends, as well as his rival Hard. But, his mysterious past with a man named Leon Field comes into play later on when Shadow, a man who can control machines and calls himself Bolt Crank, and Stella, a woman who wants to mechanize every human on the planet, has Bolt going back to an old, unfinished mission he left behind long ago.
