With the casting of Matt Ryan recently for the pilot for the potential TV series Constantine, more details are starting to emerge which is pretty normal at this phase. According to what’s coming out, the pilot episode is set to take place in New York City and it’s expected that if it goes to series, a lot of it will take place there as well. The pilot involves Ravenscar Psychiatric, a key piece of the comics mythos that was originally in the UK, which definitely paints this as a transplant series, which isn’t a surprise. The pilot is said to revolve around the character of Papa Midnite who will be a semi-recurring face in the show as the two battle it out. No casting for the character has hit there yet but the show is expected to focus on Papa Midnite’s origins as the subplot for the pilot.
Neil Marshall is directing the pilot episode from a script by Daniel Cerone and a story by him and David Goyer.
