The first teaser we got awhile ago for Godzilla is one that worked really well for me, especially with the opening choral bit that reminded me of 2001: A Space Odyssey. That they use it again here works even more for me as we get an expanded look at things which hints at some of what happened in the past and the scale of the battle that’s head. It doesn’t provide quick and easy answers and our titular character isn’t on screen for a lot of it, but it sets the mood and atmosphere for it perfectly for me. It’s set to debut on May 16th, 2014 in the US.
Plot concept: An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
