Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha Episode 6 | TFP Review

Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha Episode #6

EmperorBrandon: Best episode yet, and that’s saying a lot with this series. I’ve got a big smile of heartwarmingness still stuck on my face.

Jun Kuga: Inari has that effect. I don’t think I’ve gone a single episode without melting in to a puddle of smiles. Inari is just so impossibly likeable, and the interplay between Keiko, Akemi, and Maru… and then there’s the whole Uka Touka stuff…

I’m gonna say it – this is more divine cuteness than Kamichu – something that I never thought possible six weeks ago.

EmperorBrandon: Ok… first off, I’m really happy Inari realized that the supernatural hijinks weren’t going to help anything here, and managed a way to get that called off by being honest with Sumizome (granted, this could be a crisis only averted that could pop up later: she should have told Uka what happened). Then we finally get to see all the barriers start to come down between the girls and it’s so glorious. There’s even stronger reasons for Maru and Sumizome to connect than I even imagined last episode. Maru is totally excited to hear about Sumizome’s crush, because she’s into yuri and bara! Talk about awesomely varied tastes.  I did wonder two episodes ago if they were going to actually take the seeming yuri crush anywhere seriously (feels like most non-yuri-themed anime never really do, often being rather understated or the subject of comedy), but now it appears there are some signs they might. Do wonder where they’re going to go there.

And if that wasn’t enough, there’s some wonderful Uka-Touka stuff to top it all off. I continue to love that so much. Definitely going to be complications to come with gods, divine powers, and such. Quite curious to see how Uka weathers those situations.

Library-chan: Well, Sumizome admitting her crush is kind of sudden. No angst. No “I’m in love with a girl and I’m weird” nonsense. It’s good that Inari and Maru accepted her outright, especially Maru, who is a yuri fangirl.

Sly05: Maru is totally on board with Sumizome joining the trio if there is yuri.

The Touka and Uka-sama scenes continue to be completely enduring. They make a great couple.

stardf29: Yeah, this was a fantastic episode in so many ways. Glad to see Inari find a way to resolve things with Sumizome without using divine power, and that all four of them got to be friends. Also good to see Sumizome admit her feelings for Keiko with minimal angst about it (in part thanks to the group’s resident yuri and bara fan).

And, of course, there’s that Uka/Touka stuff that’s getting underway. Hope to see more development out of that.
