D-Fragments Episode 6 | TFP Review

D-Frag! Episode 6

Buckeye: That episode sure turns up the silliness way up here, as this tournament is for a bag. But to those random students they don’t see it as just a bag, but as something that smells of Funabori. The girls in this episode sure were awesome here with Roka’s intimidation technique wiping the competition, Takao’s boobs throwing the zipper, and Funabori being the one who everybody wants. Even though Hachi comes out as Kenji’s love rival, he does come across as being a nice guy. Anyway, this show continues to be silly in a highly enjoyable way.

stardf29: So in addition to being an overall nice girl, Funabori can also take over tsukkomi duties from Kenji when his competitiveness turns him into a boke.

EmperorBrandon: Kazama’s constant tsukkomi can be tiring at times, but it was amusing to have it pointed out that it was exhausting him too in one scene.

There were some really funny visual gags this episode. I particularly like the visual love triangle with Roka constantly fighting away Shiou’s hand, and the antics with Takao trying to fit into her track jacket.

GingaDaiuchuu: No doubt all that tsukkomi gets very exhausting. The levels of tsukkomi with Funabori taking over the role when Kazama ends up on the boke side reminds me a bit of Gintama, albeit far less extreme and hilarious.

More funny stuff in general, with some pieces that inevitably don’t quite work. I was surprised by how much I liked the Takao gag. Normally I’m not a big fan of boob jokes, but just the enthusiasm with which the entire audience responded really sold me on it. Even the hosts’ reactions to it, and their bonding over that and other bits of comedy throughout, added to the humor pretty well in the end.

Nork22: OK… I really like Takao now over the other girls. Also love how the vice-presidents of both clubs love to egg Takao on.

EmperorBrandon: There’s just something about Takao that makes the boob focus with her so unusually adorable for me.

Nork22: It’s Hinagiku with bigger boobs.

bctaris: It’s funny how it works with her as a character. I think it’s the fact that, most of the time, she’s made not to feel noticeably self-conscious about it, unlike countless others in the past. When it does become an issue, she’s more surprised and taken aback than simply ashamed. She’s still embarrassed, but more from being taken advantage of in general. Poor Takao.

But, right, she continues to be my favorite draw here.

And I also loved the visual gag of the love triangle. Just genius.

Buckeye: It’s not everyday that a tsundere has a supersized bust that can be used as a WMD just like what happened with the flying zipper. There are those that use them as weapons that are quite dangerous, but I can’t remember anyone of them having a tsundere personality to go along with it. Takao is setting a great example about how it can all work out.

contention: I imagine that Takao is most people’s favorite, although I do like Roka-tan, Funabori, and 1 yet to appear character too.

heck, she was actually popular enough (well, might not have taken all that much) to get a small cameo in The World God Only Knows season 2.
