FUNimation is shining a light on what their May 2014 lineup will be for their anime releases on DVD and Blu-ray and we’re definitely getting some anticipated releases – but also a bit of quiet time after the April deluge of Eureka 7 that’s coming. We’re getting some second parts here that are anticipated with more Aquarion EVOL as well as the second season with Hangai NEXT. Serial Experiments Lain is getting its Anime Classics edition this month, which was pushed back from January as noted below, and we’ve also got more Fairy Tail as that series is being pumped out pretty regularly. We’ve also got the next Dragon Ball Z collection landing.
And we’ve also got, at long last, a complete collection for Shiki. We rated this as our top show of the year when the simulcast hit a few years ago and it came out in two parts previously. It’s now going straight to the S.A.V.E. edition form since it didn’t sell well. But we simply cannot recommend this title enough and with a list price of $34.98, you’ll be able to find it on the cheap and then start raving like some of us do as to why it was so underrated by fans. Definitely check this one out.
