Third ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2′ Trailer Released

2 min read

Amazing Spider-Man 2 International Poster 2While the previous trailers have been focused more on the villains and the larger narrative that’s being painted for the series of films that Sony wants to make, the new third trailer is one that plays up the home life a bit more, the humor and some hilarious moments with Gwen that definitely makes you laugh. What the film gets across here, at least to this long time Spider-Man fan, is that it captures the humor and free spirit aspect that Peter has when he puts on the costume, something that’s starting to bleed out more into his normal life which as we’ve seen in the comics will always cause him more trouble.

Directed by Webb, the film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in 2D and 3D on May 2, 2014

Plot concept: We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
