While the previous trailers have been focused more on the villains and the larger narrative that’s being painted for the series of films that Sony wants to make, the new third trailer is one that plays up the home life a bit more, the humor and some hilarious moments with Gwen that definitely makes you laugh. What the film gets across here, at least to this long time Spider-Man fan, is that it captures the humor and free spirit aspect that Peter has when he puts on the costume, something that’s starting to bleed out more into his normal life which as we’ve seen in the comics will always cause him more trouble.
Directed by Webb, the film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field.
