Space Dandy has a pretty solid set of plans ahead of it for home video releases, but everything in territories outside of Japan will be coming at least a few months later. Bandai Visual previously revealed their plans for the show and now they have a pair of commercials out for the home video launch as well as some general broadcast reminders for a couple of the networks. The show is slotted to begin its DVD and Blu-ray release on April 25th and they’ve confirmed that it will have both dubs and subs on it. The layout is a bit different though when it comes to pricing:

– Vol.1 & Vol.5 BDs: 6300yen each; Vol.2 to Vol.4 BDs: 7875yen each
– Vol.1 & Vol.5 DVDs: 5040yen each; Vol.2 to Vol.4 DVDs: 6300yen each

The first volume is listed to include a stick and booklet as the first press addition while on-disc extras includea gallery, commercials and teasers as well as a cast commentary from the Japanese side.

Plot concept: Space Dandy is a dandy in space! This dreamy adventurer with a to-die-for pompadour travels across the galaxy in search of aliens no one has ever laid eyes on. Each new species he discovers earns him a hefty reward, but this dandy has to be quick on his feet because it’s first come first served! Accompanied by his sidekicks, a rundown robot named QT and Meow the cat-looking space alien, Dandy bravely explores unknown worlds inhabited by a variety aliens. Join the best dressed alien hunter in all of space and time as he embarks on an adventure that ends at the edge of the universe!
