After getting several dub clips from the almost here release of Kamisama Kiss from FUNimation, they’ve brought out two more clips at two minutes each to show off different parts of the series. The release is landing next week in a premium edition in addition to the regular DVD/BD combo releases. The show has gotten a few episodes an EVS release previously and now we’ve got a better look/listen at some of the characters here. Priced at $129.98, the premium set features everything that we’re expecting with the regular release in commentary tracks, video commentary and the clean opening and closing. What this one does is add in some really great collectibles, which you can see below, in that we get a hair stick, an amulet, a folding fan and a tote bag along with seven postcards. The set is limited to just 2500 copies and Kamisama Kiss fans are likely going to grab up this set quickly.
Plot concept: Nanami was just a normal high school girl down on her luck until a stranger’s lips marked her as the new Land God and turned her world upside down. Now, she’s figuring out the duties of a deity with the help of Tomoe, a reformed fox demon who reluctantly becomes her familiar in a contract sealed with a kiss. The new responsibilities—and boys—are a lot to handle, like the crow demon masquerading as a gorgeous pop idol and the adorable snake spirit who’s chosen the newly minted god to be his bride. As the headstrong Tomoe tries to whip her into shape, Nanami finds that love just might have cute, pointed fox ears. With romance in the air, will the human deity be able to prove herself worthy of her new title?
