Hulu has added a bit more to its continually growing library of anime titles as they’ve started in on the Sentai Filmworks series Mahoromatic: Automatic Maiden. The series was originally released in North America by Geneon Entertainment and Sentai Filmworks picked up the license for it in the last couple of years. The first season that they’ve added is for twelve episodes and comes courtesy of The Anime Network distributing it digitally for Sentai Filmworks. The series is in Japanese language with English subtitles but is available to Hulu Plus members for streaming to their TV app or other digital devices.
Plot concept: Mahoro has just 398 days left to live. A military android created by VESPER to combat an alien menace, she is given the choice to retire from active service and do anything she wishes in her last days. However, her choice is to serve as maid and bodyguard to a very surprised teenage boy! From the legendary Studio Gainax comes an amazing saga of life, love and combat!
