With Constantine having gotten a pilot order earlier in the month, things are moving quickly as one would expect as a director has now been brought onto the project to direct it. Neil Marshall has snagged the job for Warner Bros. TV where he’ll help to set the tone for the series that will be utilized going forward if it gets picked up for a series. Marshall has some solid credits to his name, having worked on Black Sails and doing some upcoming Game of Thrones work as well in addition to being known for the feature film The Descent. He’ll be working off of the script by Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer.

Originally created back in 1985 as a character in Swamp Thing, he’s been involved in the dark underbelly of the DC Comics world through the Vertigo imprint before being folded back into the mainstream side during the New 52 run as a part of Justice League Dark. And the character is also supposedly tapped to be in the Justice League Dark film that Guillermo del Toro wants to get off the ground at Warner Bros.
