Avex Marketing has set the Japanese release plans for the new winter series Hamatora and it’s getting a somewhat surprising run, something that more shows this season seem to be doing. The show is set to be released across four volumes starting on April 25th that will be on both DVD and Blu-ray. The first volume will come with a box to hold all four discs. The Blu-ray releases are priced at 7,980 yen each while the DVD releases are at 6,930 yen each.

No on-disc extras are listed at thi spoint but it looks like each volume will include a pack-in of a character card and a bonus CD.

Plot concept: An original multi-media project with a manga and anime, the Hamatora anime revolves around a group of humans who possess a special hereditary power known as “Minimum,” and are known as “Minimum Holders.” Minimum Holders Nice and Murasaki run a detective agency called “Hamatora,” and when they are hired to investigate a certain case, they cross paths with an old acquaintance, Art, who is chasing the same case as a police officer. As they investigate deeper into each of the cases, they discover that both cases are related, and that all the victims are Minimum Holders, like themselves.
