Pony Canyon Sets ‘Sakura Trick’ Japanese Anime DVD/BD Release Schedule

Pony Canyone has set the release information for winter 2014 anime series Sakura Trick and they’re definitely being up front about all the first press material that will be in it. Set to begin release on April 16th, the Blu-ray releases will be priced at 6,825 yen each across all six volumes while the DVD releases will be priced at 6,090 yen each. The releases will all feature an audio commentary while the first press materials will diverge a bit, though all will come with a special transparent case and a booklet.

The series, created by Tachi, has been running since 2011 and has had two graphic novel compilation releases so far, with the second one landing just a few months ago. The winter 2014 series is set to be animated by Studio Deen with Kenichi Ishikura directing with character designs by Kyuta Sakai.

Plot concept: Yuu and Haruka were inseparable during junior high but a cruel twist of fate put them on opposite sides of the class when entering senior high. Forced to spend more time with their other classmates, they decide to do something to keep their relationship special. A comedy 4koma.
