‘The 100’ Futuristic Survival Series Debuts New Promo

With the fall season out of the way and some of the shorter run material getting ready to finish up in the next couple of months, The CW is bringing out a new look at one of the mid season replacements that’s debuting on March 19th. With The 100, it gives us a futuristic setting that’s more like the past as a group of young prisoners are sent down to Earth to see if it can be inhabited again. And to see what kind of strange social dynamics may come to light after being stuck in space for several generations. he series is based on a book by Kass Morgan and developed by Jason Rothenberg and is planned for a midseason debut on The CW in early 2014. The production company behind it, in association with Warner Bros. TV, is Alloy Entertainment, which worked on The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, The SEcret Circle and recently with 666 Park Avenue.

Plot Concept: After a nuclear apocalypse, civilization on planet earth was destroyed. 100 juvenile prisoners will be the first to set foot on ground after 97 years. What will they discover?
