‘Fantastic Four’ Reboot Gets Filming Start Date

The start for filming of the reboot of Fantastic Four has been revealed with plans to get it underway on March 31st in Louisiana. This is a bit of a surprise, even with a June 19th, 2015 theatrical premiere date set, since no casting news has surfaced at all. We’ve had a fair number of rumors along the way but beyond Josh Trank being brought on to direct after his work on Chronicle and Simon Kinberg on to help with the script and to make it jive with the upcoming X-Men films as well, there’s been little movement on the film. Fox is keen on getting the relaunch started and tying it in loosely with the X-Men franchise in order to try and build something a little more cohesive since they see it working so well for the Marvel/Disney films.

Suffice to say, we expect casting news coming up soon and set photos and more not long after that.

  1. I understand that there are fanboys out there that say that the two Fantastic Four, as well as the Daredevil and Punisher movies that came from Fox were great. I try never to look down upon someone’s opinion, but I still reserve the right to ask, “HUH?”
Except for X-men First Class I have been underwhelmed with Fox’s venture into the Superhero world. I for one hope that they lose ALL Marvel Character Franchises.
