We got our first look from Toho just late last week for the upcoming series Mikakunin de Shinkoukei that’s based on the manga by Cherry Arai and now a second promo has landed for it. While the first promo clocks in at nearly two minutes, this one is just a fifteen second spot that gives us a taste of the fast paced nature of the show that will premiere date in Japan, which will be January 9th. The series kicked off back in 2009 and had its third volume released in the fall of last year. The anime adaptation doesn’t have a lot in terms of details yet but it will be directed by Yoshiyuki Fujiwara with scripts by Fumihiko Shimo. The cast has now been revealed as well with character shots of the various main characters as well as a key visual, which you can see below.
Plot concept: The series revolves around Kobeni Yonomori, who on her 16th birthday suddenly has a young man with little presence named Hakuya Mitsumine and his younger sister Mashiro appear in front of her. It turns out that Hakuya is her fiancee, and Mashiro is her future sister-in-law. The three (and Konbeni’s older sister Benio) start living together underneath the same roof, and hilarious happenings occur.
