Best Selling Manga & Anime In Japan Via Amazon Revealed

What’s popular in Japan certainly isn’t always the same as what’s popular elsewhere in the world and it’s even more true when you boil it down to specific retailers. Amazon is part of that as well, but with the general scale of their sales even in Japan, it’s always fun to see what’s popular. The company does its rankings for anime and manga starting from November 2012 to December 2013 and has compiled the best selling pieces. On the manga side, there’s certainly some obvious contenders and you do find yourself wishing that Yotsuba&! sold better here and was more popular. And that you could get your hands on To Love-Ru Darkness. The anime side falls a bit more in line with expectations with Evangelion, Madoka Magica and more of the big names dominating here.
